This Ethiopian coffee, produced in Shantawene village by the company Daye Bensa, is an heirloom variety, black honey process.

Daye Bensa coffee company started with immense efforts of two brothers: Aseba Dukamo Mulugeta Dukamo, about fifteen years ago. They have, over the years, developed a company that today holds a significant place in the production, collection and export of coffee from Sidama.
The name of the company comes from the city and the district where the owners come from, to honour their local roots.
Daye Bensa company owns farms, washing stations, dry mills, with more than 2000 individual farmers being members of the company and together they aim is to produce traceable and sustainable quality coffee.
The reforestation program is just one of Daye Bensa merits, his effort to try and preserve the environment are truly noteworthy.
The company also organizes regular training for these producers to further improve the quality of there coffees and, as a sign of recognition for there hard work, two of their coffees were selected for the Cup of Excellence 2020.
The farm is managed by Daye Bensa and is located at an altitude of about 2000 m, in the Shawantene village, in a mountainous environment.
