Specialty Coffee
Kenya Thika Peaberry Washed
ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
The Harries family settled down in Kenya late in 1904 and now Boyce Harris is at the 5th generation of coffee farmers. He owns 2 farms in the central region of Kenya, Thika, named Oreti and Chania. The 50% of their varieties are Red Bourbon (quite unusual for the Kenyan environment), then SL14, SL28 (disease susceptible but recognized for cup quality), SL34, Ruiru 11 (resistant variety), K7 (rust-resistant) and the new variety Batian.
The coffee harvest is done entirely by hand and the coffees are processed on-site.
