El Salvador Limo

The coffee grows in the Alotepec-Metapan Mountain Range, between 1400 to 1600 m above sea level. The soil, rich in limestone and clay, is perfect for growing healthy and strong coffee plants. The variety is Pacamara: a hybrid that was created in El Salvador in 1958 and it‘s a cross between Pacas and Maragoype. The characteristic of this splendid variety is the very large size of the bean. The washed process gives this coffee amazing and delicate notes of Apricot, Jasmine and Green tea.

The farm Finca El Limo is owned by Mr Oscar Figueroa. The growing condition of clay soil and limestone makes an excellent environment for Pacamara to grow expressing complex flavours and aromas. Final processing and export will take place via El Borbollon. Since 2016, El Borbollon has been working with small farmers from this beautiful area next to a wildlife reserve to improve the quality and income of these growers in order to secure excellent coffees every year.
